In fact we have an adage a skunk seen in a city setting is likely rabid, especially if it is daylight.NitWit1https://www.blogger.com/profile/07035004840443397537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1588313883218863206.post-5176563413279992262010-06-14T20:52:58.488-04:002010-06-14T20:52:58.488-04:00OMG poor Maggie and you :(OMG poor Maggie and you :((Diane) Bibliophile By the Seahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10519875632878992728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1588313883218863206.post-29843255153271923232010-06-14T20:51:11.263-04:002010-06-14T20:51:11.263-04:00Our dogs go after anything in the yard that moves ...Our dogs go after anything in the yard that moves so I KNOW our skunk days will one day arrive.

Missy of course was bitten by a rattler two summers ago. Did she learn? Doubt it because there is a shedded snake skin just off the front porch and she and Handsome BOTH keep going over to sniff it. I'm sure if Mr. Snake were still in it they would harass him. We think it's a garter snake skin, but who knows.

Sorry about the skunky smell... poor kitty.

DiAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1588313883218863206.post-78007927211172421082010-06-14T20:51:01.557-04:002010-06-14T20:51:01.557-04:00I had a feeling!! I thought, though, it would have been Mazie Grace.
That questions about the anti-skunk solution (Peroxide, baking soda, and Dawn) was on Jeopardy tonight. Isn't that a coincidence?
I used to bathe our cats once in a while. I'd don gloves and just go at it. Hopefu...Just as you thought, Maggie got in trouble. Hopefully the odor will go away soon. People dream of living in the country, and it is wonderful, but it does have its moments. Let's hope she's learned her lesson, walk a wide path around skunks.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11586429675286969340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1588313883218863206.post-32381091065368824662010-06-14T17:33:16.359-04:002010-06-14T17:33:16.359-04:00Oy, that would be horrible. The neighborhood is like an undiscovered country for her.Andrewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08461777779037445878noreply@blogger.com
