These pictures were taken Monday before the remnants of hurricane Ida gave us four days of rain and wind. There are only a few leaves left on the tree today, but there is a bright orange carpet under the tree.
The wind and rain weren't enough here. The maples are still holding on to their leaves. We went out today, though and blew/raked -- as a first pass. They were pretty wet!
We didn't get any of that rain up here in PA. Actually, they just said on the radio today that we are about 5 inches behind in rain fall. I hope we catch up!

Your leaves put our totally to shame. Just beautiful. Now they will do their job to replenish the soil. Nature is wonderful.
