Our leaves are falling fast. They cover the yard and the roads. They blow around in little whirlwinds and crunch under feet. They get tracked into the house and litter the floor of the car. Hubby has been busy running the leaf vacuum over the yard, but he can't keep up with them. Here are some pictures I took earlier this week.
This is the side of our front yard.
This is the side of our back yard.
View across the field on the other side of the house.
This is the red maple in our front yard. It was planted over an old well and fell below ground when the well caved in. It gradually grew out of its hole and now looks like a bush rather than a tree.

Still beautiful though. Is that tumbleweed in one photo?
Your fall leaves look so pretty! Ours are pretty much done and we have that dull winter look going on now. Except that it's 60 degrees out there. Strange weather!
That Red Maple is a beauty and it does look like a bush!
You certainly got more color than Arkansas did this year.
Really beautiful foliage.
Those are lovely. I really enjoy the maple bush!
That red maple really had the desire to continue. What perserverence.
Quite a story.
I thought we would have a boring fall because of the drought. But it has actually been quite pretty. Just remarked to Hunter today about the fact that the leaves seem to be sticking around. Also loving that the temps have been mild. Hope you are doing well.
I think that maple having sunk into the ground is amazing. I was wondering what kind of tree it was!
The maples really put on a fantastic show this year, didn't they? Our trees are all bare as of this week. We raked a lot and then today paid someone to clear the rest of them.
