Wildflowers .........

The other afternoon, I walked through the fields behind my house. Hubby had cut a path with the lawnmower so I could walk without becoming covered with ticks and chiggers.

The wildflowers were blooming. They may be weeds, but they are colorful and pretty weeds and made my walk more enjoyable.

That is a sweet husband to mow a walking path for you, and I agree, your wildflowers are beautiful.

These are so pretty. How nice of your husband to make it easy for you to enjoy these.

I make my hubby keep a path cut for me to run on. The ticks have been awful this year - my oldest got lyme about a month ago.

Pretty flowers, although we don't like the purple thistle things because they are a nuisance weed.

A wonderful collection of wild flowers. The butterflies must love your place. Dianne

That path looks so inviting. I would not be able to resist either. And so many pretty flowers to keep you company. Weeds or not, they are nice to look at.

I think these are lovelies.

I also don't believe in weeds. Weeds are just plants growing in places we don't want them to be.

They don't look like weeds to me! They're so pretty. Now the chiggers, they're not so cute. :)

Some impressive close up photography here of these colourful species.

Wildflowers are beautiful. However, this year, with our searing heat wave, ours have been sparse. I published some OXeyed daisies I found our drainage ditch.

You have some lovely wildflowers there! I love wildflowers and even put the ox-eye daisies in my regular flower beds. They are such tough little flowers and bloom forever!

We mow paths like that on our acreage, too.

Your wildflower photos are beautiful...I do have a problem with the red trumpet vine in my yard. It was here when we purchased the house 37 years ago and I can't kill it. When I get rid of it in one place, it just pops up in another spot.

Those are so pretty, especially the orange ones, which I don't know what they are, and the last one! A path through wild flowers is the best!

They all look great!! It is too hot for an afternoon walk but hopefully soon it will cool down a bit!
