A Christmas snow ..............

image001.jpg

I hope everyone had a safe and joyous Christmas. My Christmas was relaxing and enjoyable. We had our traditional fried oysters on Christmas Eve. Christmas morning the kitties got their gifts. They had lots of fun with their new toys after indulging in some of their new catnip. My cousin and her husband visited at my brother's in the early afternoon. I left hubby at home with directions to get the turkey in the oven while I joined them. We had our Christmas dinner that evening. There were only three of us, so we had lots of food to eat and we all stuffed ourselves.

It began to snow here Christmas afternoon and snowed on through Sunday morning. I measured almost 4 inches on my deck when it stopped. We were lucky that we only got the edge of the storm. I felt sorry for those who were stranded by the snow, but it was so pretty coming down and really made it look like Christmas. Almost all of our snow has melted now and the prediction is for warmer temperatures this weekend.

My computer is in the process of dying, so I've been trying to back up everything and transfer files to my laptop. Other than working on that, I've been lazy since Christmas. Hubby got me a Nook, so I've been curled up under my throw reading. I'm a little over halfway through House Rules by Jodi Picoult and have several more books ready to read. I promise to work on all those items on my To Do list after the first of the year. I've declared this week a vacation.

Good for you. We all need to take a break from time to time. The snow around your house is beautiful.

Hope you are enjoying the Nook. Isn't relatively hands-free reading the best! enjoy.

We got about 3" of snow on Monday, but the worst was the blizzard like high wind conditions.

So glad to hear you had a relaxing holiday...I was rather sad that the snow just missed us for Christmas. Let me know how you like your Nook...I'm thinking I would miss the feel and smell of having a book in my hand.

Sounds like you had a nice Christmas. You got more snow than we did! I, too, felt sorry for those stranded.

We gave Azzie some catnip, too. She's a happy kitty. Are yours getting along any better? Does the catnip help?

What a beautiful snow. I am really envious. Still no white stuff in Arkansas.
A adore e-readers. Right now in my Kindle, I have 96 books TBR on my night stand in a less than a pound library. Enjoy.
Hope you survive the computer problems and get everything backed up.

Happy to hear you liked the snow. Although we are north of you it mostly went to the South and East of us, and North of course. Now I am beginning to think of next year's gardening.

It's hard to imagine the snow being so disruptive when I see beautiful pictures like this one.

Love the picture! Speaking of books, I have soooo many to read and soooo little time. I should make a list of which to read next and stick with it...and not purchase any more until I've read them all ha, ha. Liek that's going to happen.

Blessings,

Kym
