Our first snow this winter ........

image001.jpg

Hi everyone! I'm still here! I've been reading your blogs, but haven't been posting or commenting lately. Other things always seem to take up my time. I've been fine. Hubby quit his part time job the first of the year, so he is around 24/7. We've been taking day trips and doing things together.

Week before last we had the inside of the house painted. I'm still trying to get things put back in the proper place. I have six boxes sitting in the garage that I need to find a home for. When you have to pull everything out of closets and rooms, it makes you realize that you have way too much stuff. I have vowed to simplify - to get rid of everything that we don't need or use. Wish me luck!

We got our first snow of the season yesterday. It was so pretty this morning when we got up. Of course it has been melting quickly and should be gone by tomorrow. We're suppose to have temperatures in the mid 70s by Thursday - winter won't be here long.

Oh the snow looks lovely -- with the exception of our freak 10/29 blizzard, it's be the mildest winter I can ever remember (no complaints here).

I try to declutter every few years and it's about time I think -- great for you. Hope the kitties are well.

How nice that you and your husband have the time to do things together.
I'm looking forward to the springtime weather at the end of the week!

It's nice to hear from you. Glad things are well for you. Your snow is beautiful. Seems like winter is quickly slipping away and we've had very little winter weather. My hubby and I are together 24/7 and it's not bad. Hope you're enjoying some together time.

Ooh! I like the idea of short winters! ASnd that's a lovely shot, too!

Hope you find somewhere for all those things you don't think you use! I found most things we wanted to get rid of sort of slipped sneakily back in!

A well shot photo. Best take these while the snow is here.

I just saw your comment on one of my favorite blogs and came over assuming that you are in Virginia (perhaps it's your name?). I'm a native Virginian and enjoy linking up whenever I find someone in that lovely state. I live in the Chicago area now but grew up in Roanoke.

Best,
Bonnie

I am surprised it is your first snow. We have had two 3 inches and a light sprinkling so far in Arkansas.

Don't expect anymore, but doesn't exclude frost. My roses which I pruned yesterday already have new growth!

Hi, I know what you mean about falling behind on comments. We have even cut down on our blog posting and are going through lots of decluttering so I know what you mean about having lots of stuff! Seems I am filling boxes for donation several times a week and as soon as one is ready, out it goes - no second thoughts. The snow looked lovely and good for you on getting out on those day triops!

We got 10" out of that storm, 50 and sunny the next day, 60s with high winds yesterday with violent thunderstorms last night, 60s and psrtly sunny, even more wind, stray downpours and tornado watch all day. they the mercury plummeted and we're supposed to get mid 20s and scattered snow showers tonight!

Such a pretty scene :)

I think that we are going to end the winter with essentially no snow. I would have liked one good snowfall, but I am ready for spring.

Glad you're okay.

Sometimes I just read the blogs too and don't comment because commenting can be time consuming and I'm always short on time. Hope you're enjoying this spring weather!
