My first tomato this year .......

I picked my first tomato this afternoon. I ate it before I had a chance to take a picture, but here is a picture of two more I will be picking soon. They are on a potted plant on my deck.

The tomatoes in my little garden are still green, but I will have plenty to eat once they ripen. I have both regular tomatoes and cherry tomatoes.

I love tomatoes fresh from the garden. I can taste those juicy tomato sandwiches already. Now, if we could just get a little rain they should continue growing.

Wow, those tomatoes are red. I do love the taste of fresh vine ripened tomatoes. It will be near August before we have a plentiful supply of them here. Chopped fresh cucumber & tomatoes with a little Ranch dressing on it and some saltine crackers. That's fine eating. Don't forget the salt & pepper on the cucumbers & tomatoes.

Fresh tomatoes are summer's gift! Yours look wonderful -- what variety are they?

I planted 5 plants this year: 2) San Marzano, 1) 4th of July, 1) yellow pear, and 1) purple Cherokee. I have lots of blooms, but no where near any fruit, yet!

Love your raised bed. Similar to mine. My tomatoes are still green and I agree, rain sure would help.

You are too funny. I would probably eat my tomato too. So good. I grew them for years, but have too much shade now. Dianne

PS you and Patti can have some of my rain.

I bet it tasted great. Nothing like garden fresh maters! We haven't even got ours in the ground yet.THE BOSS has been busy working and I'm back on the sick, lame & lazy list after another tumble.

Lucky you to already have tomatoes. We have flowers, but still have a way to go until. Can enjoy any maters.

My husband has green tomatoes on plants in a horse trough. I guesa this is city gardening. We have green pepper plants but I have not seen any peppers yet.

I love fresh vegetables but with meds I take most have to be cooked as raw ones stir up my GERD which I cannot treat due to other meds I take. Life can be complicated.

You look a lot luckier at growing tomatoes than I was! They look gorgeous, and I bet they are really tasty, far better than supermarket ones!

Those tomatoes look stunning. Nothing like growing your own. I keep promising myself to grow my own as I usually eat one a day with a lunchtime snack.
