Christmas Prep .............

I've been busy the last few days with Christmas preparation. Completed are -

1. Inside and outside decorations put up
2. All Christmas gifts purchased
3. Gifts wrapped
4. Christmas cards written and mailed
5. Cookies baked
6. Menus planned for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

All I have left to do is last minute grocery shopping and meal preparation. I tend to procrastinate and put things off, but once I start I want to keep going until I finish. I can sit back now and enjoy the next week or so.

I still plan on making some peanut butter cookies and chocolate fudge tomorrow. I also would like to make some cheese straws. Does anyone have a good recipe? I've never made them before, but I love them and I think my Dad would enjoy some.

Mazie Grace has decided that she wants to live under the Christmas tree. I have my Santa collection under the tree, so she crawls back behind the Santas and curls up in a ball. This is her first Christmas with us and probably her first Christmas experience. Last year at this time she was homeless, living in the fields behind our house.

What a lovely tree! And a great room to put it in! I think you might have a bit more space for your tree - I just can't work out where ours will go this year, as we have changed a few things around!

Everyone on the N. American contentent seems to be cooking cookies for Christmas - is this a special tradition or something? Who eats them (apart from family!!)

The tree is lovely and it sounds like you're all set! We had a cat, Louie, who liked to sit up in the tree. It made for some interesting Christmases.
We're ready...at least I think we are...
I love your Santas.

With all the cats, we finally gave up putting up a Christmas tree. We'd come home to ornaments all over the floor, or a cat scaling the tree! You're lucky all Mazie wants to do is sit under the tree.

Your decorations look lovely and it sounds like you've been quite busy. I bet it feels good to have so much accomplished. Now you will be able to sit back and enjoy the time with your family and friends.

Happy Holidays!
