Today is a wet, dreary day - but I won't complain because we really do need the rain. I got almost all my garden planted over the weekend - tomatoes, zuchinni, yellow squash, cucumbers, and green peppers. I also replanted the lettuce and radishes since they didn't come up that well. I'm sure all my plants are loving this rain.
The azaleas are in full bloom now and are so pretty. I wish they bloomed all summer. The bushes are full of honey bees and butterflies. There is a huge old tree across the road that has a bee hive in it, so we get lots of honey bees here. You can actually see the honey leaking out of the tree.

I was just thinking about you last night and the fact that I had not been here to visit you in a while. Well,,,, here I am. Oh, gosh, I love it when the bees come out and buzz around. We have had two large ones, queens, living next to our front porch and when they cross one another's territory the fun begins as they chase one another back and forth across our front porch. We sit and just laugh at them. Mother Nature... gotta love it!

Wow, those azeleas are gorgeous. You have a lot of nature's creatures around your place. Honey dripping out of the tree, hmmmm, that's neat. When I had a yard I loved it when the bees came to visit.

Your azaleas are so pretty! My little azalea is STILL not blooming. But the lilacs make up for it.
If we had a tree dripping honey, we'd get a constant parade of black bears here. :-)

It's nice to hear you have so many honeybees. I'm hoping their numbers go up this year and the bee shortage and die off stops.

Those are beautiful azealeas! I've never seen such big bushes of them! Azealeas and rhododendrons do well here as we have an acidic soil, but they are nowhere near out yet!!
Thanks for visiting my blog. I read three of yours--sounds familiar. You see, I just spent 3 weeks in Aberdeen NC. I blogged about the pine pollen, and a cat too.
I also encountered carpenter bees in their most desgtructive mode ofboring--never saw that before.
Then the pine pollen was so thick it was smog and visible on the horizon. And the azaleas were in full bloom. I don't think these carpenter bees make honey.
It's a wonder I did not end up in the hospital but my allergy shots seem to really be a good formula this round.
I still have several blogs to write about my visit near you. My sister-in law's husband died was the occasion--my husband's sister.
He is one of the orignators of a festival in Aberdeen called The Sardine Festival, unbelievably successful festival with 1000 persons attending lasgt year. Will be writing a tribute to him.
I see you have cats, too. I am a dog person, but cats usually find a place in my heart as my Mother loved cats.

Beautiful! Our azaleas are blooming now, too and I also regret that they don't bloom longer.
I've purchased all our plants and began putting them into their assigned pots today. The others still 'rest' on the table on our patio. We just had a horrible hail storm (in honor of our planting...:)) and my dear husband ran out in it and put the umbrella up. At least the plants on the table are protected. The ones in the pots are on their own :(.
