My tomatoes ............

My husband picked up this hanging tomato kit at Lowes this spring. I had my doubts as to how well it would do, but I was willing to give it a try. So far, it is still alive and growing and has a few blooms on the upper plant. The reddish pots on the deck have cherry tomato plants in them.

These are the tomato plants in my garden square. Since we have had plenty of rain so far this year, they have grown and gotten really thick. I probably planted them too close together, but it doesn't seem to have stunted their growth. They are full of blooms and little green tomatoes.

Here are some of my little tomatoes. It will be awhile before I'll be able to eat tomato sandwiches for lunch. My mouth is watering just thinking about them.

Looks to me like all of them are doing well. You've got some good eating ahead of you.

My husband's tomatoes have tiny green fruit on them. It seems the Romas are head of the pack.

Holy cow! Do they ever look healthy. I bet you're going to win our wager. I have plenty of tomatoes, but they're not quite that big. We'll see!

What a wonderful and abundant garden! We've been getting slammed here in Pittsburgh with rain (and floods in our basement) all week. My garden has gone crazy too. It's so nice to see though. I picked tons of lettuce and spinach today and the tomatoes are coming in. Can't wait to eat a fresh tomato sandwich!

Your tomatoes look fantastic! I am so jealous. I planted about 20 seedlings in the house, but not long after I transplanted them outside the weather turned nasty and I lost them all. It's so hard to garden in this climate! Enjoy every bite of those tomatoes once they are ripe.
