Mollie Ann had her operation yesterday. When I brought her home, I put her in the garage so she could recover. She ate a whole can of food, drank some water, found and used the litter box, then claimed the rocker as a bed. She has been completely satisfied out there all day and has made no attempt to escape. I think she feels very safe and secure. The other cats haven't been allowed in the garage, since I don't think Mollie Ann needs to be in a cat fight right now.

My brother is at my Dad's for the weekend which means that the nurses aides are not there. We have been busy with his care. He cannot stand at all now, so we have to lift him when moving from the bed to the wheelchair and to his recliner. I have much admiration for nurses and those who care for people - I could never do it.

Glad Mollie Ann's ordeal is over. Think she'll have hot flashes or night sweats? I guess if they just tied her tubes, she can still produce kitty estrogen. She looks a little stunned.
I agree with you that caregivers who do their job well are blessings and blessed ones.

Having done private nursing, on a one-to-one basis, I know how heavy it can be. I much preferred working in a hospital, where there were always other nurses to help, and various aids to use to get people out of bed, into chairs, off chairs etc. etc. etc.!1
Bless you; she looks like a sweetie, and a bit like my Lily, but Lily is very very petite.
She looks great. Think we women should have veterinarians do our hysterectomies. Their patients are up and at it the next day. Maybe it is the walking on all fours that makes the difference.
Caregivers deserve much more than they get. It is good your family is sharing in the responsibility.
I love the marking of Mollie Ann and she seems recuperating well.
I fully appreciate caregivers at all levels of car.

I'm so glad Mollie Ann joined your family. What a sweet kitty. I remember our first cat Cleo finding us after wandering the streets and going hungry. I think she spent the first few months laying in my arms, purring and sleeping!
I will say a prayer for you, your family and your dad. Care giving is one of the hardest responsibilities.
Now, that's one comfortable cat! Looks like she is adjusting just fine to indoor life.
Your father is lucky to have you and your brother there to care for him. I hope his condition improves.
