Cow and calf - aren't they adorable ....
This is my Dad checking on the cows in his "buggy". Dad gave me the "buggy" when he couldn't ride in it anymore. I use it around the yard to carry stuff and to go over the fields. These pictures are from February 2002.

I enjoy looking at the cows across the road. I love it when they hum—or whatever you call it.
What a wonderful photo!
What breed are those cows? Herefordshire? Or some special North American breed??
Good photos, too.
Gilly,
I believe their proper name is polled hereford. They were developed from the hereford cattle in England, but were mutated so that they are hornless. They are a breed raised for beef.
I love looking at my neighbor's cows. They're practically in my yard. They're black Angus. We even helped one of them give birth last summer. But it's starting to bother me because I keep thinking about where they're going. And then I hear the mother cows crying when they take the babies away...I feel bad.
